It wasn’t long ago that Marcus was winning Apprentice of the Year at Fortem’s Trade and Apprentice Awards after receiving a remarkable 19 nominations. Now, his dedication and enthusiasm has been recognised externally and he’s scooped a second Apprentice of the Year accolade at Efficiency East Midland’s Building Communities Awards.

Marcus admits that, as a result of events in his early childhood, he was sometimes a challenging child and had a chip on his shoulder which affected his attitude and overall outlook on life as a teenager. However, Marcus recognised the support that was available to him and has embraced every opportunity he has received, which led him into his apprenticeship with Fortem.

In addition to his outstanding commitment to his apprenticeship programme, Marcus has consistently supported the business and is a real ambassador of our values. Partner this with a keen interest in taking on new challenges and you can see why Marcus is such an integral member of Fortem’s Orbit team.
