Our Gender Pay Gap of 1.9% is significantly lower than the current national average of 18.4%, and we’re working to get this even lower.

Women in Construction events
In 2015, we launched a ‘Women into Construction’ day at our Birmingham 4Life Academy, where women had the opportunity to try out plastering, plumbing and other trades, as well as get assistance in applying for apprenticeships, management trainee positions and other job opportunities which attracted 160 local women. This is now an established annual event.
Our work promoting our industry and opportunities to women has been nationally recognised. Over the past two years we have won Women in Construction awards for Best Staff Development, Best New Starter of the Year over 25 and Breakthrough in Culture.
