Fortem have partnered with Sanctuary Group to deliver an ambitious carbon reduction and net zero programme, transforming the energy efficiency of 734 properties in Sheffield, including external wall insulation (EWI), solar PV, low energy lighting and loft insulation.

In all aspects of the project, Fortem looked to achieve multiple outcomes from works to reduce resident bills, improve thermal comfort, and drastically reduce the likelihood of damp and mould.
One of the most impressive things that we have achieved to date, is the creation of a truly integrated IT system with Fortem. This has removed all administration from the process, meaning everything can be managed from site.
Taking this apprenticeship was the best decision I could’ve made; it’s rewarding to be challenged and to see my skills grow, to learn new things every day, to know I’m breaking stereotypes, and to feel the respect of those around me as they see my hard work and dedication.
