Fortem Wins the CHIP Positive Impact Award!
Published 23rd May 2025
We’re absolutely delighted to have won the Positive Impact award at the 2025 CHIP (Communities and Housing Investment in People) Awards for our Stay Warm This Winter initiative.
In partnership with Travis Perkins Managed Services, the campaign was designed to support vulnerable residents living in fuel poverty through the distribution of over 295 winter warmer packs containing energy efficient items to help provide warmth and comfort throughout the colder months.
This recognition is a real testament to our commitment to improving lives, reducing fuel poverty, and creating a real and lasting impact for the communities we serve.
Stay Warm This Winter (SWTW)
Responding to the growing challenge of fuel poverty, particularly in winter, Fortem launched the SWTW campaign to help keep vulnerable social housing residents warm in their homes.
Fortem’s social value team prepared over 295 winter warmer packs for distribution across the country, designed to help residents stay warm without incurring additional financial costs.
Developed through direct consultation with residents, clients and Tpas, the packs were designed to ensure they addressed real needs, providing meaningful and practical assistance for residents.
Each pack contained a selection of energy-efficient items including:
- A heated blanket
- A hooded snuggie
- Slipper socks
- A digital room moisture detector
- Bag for life
The campaign was a huge success, with one resident sharing:
“So pleased with my heated throw, with freezing temperatures predicted I can’t thank you enough. I feel so lucky to have this. Thank you.”
